Rating: - Frustration to Addiction
I was very frustrated by my iPod Touch (1st Generation) when I first received it. It froze up constantly while online, and I could not get apps for it. Then I learned that a $10. download would upgrade it to fix both problems. After two days of constantly trying to download the purchased upgrade, I was finally successful.

I love this thing! There is so much free stuff in the apps store. I can read free novels and play free games like crazy!

The real reason I wanted the Ipod Touch was to load my art photographs on it so I could review them and show them to interested people. I think Apple could find a better way to organize photos on the iPod. The music organization is lacking, too. I have music on three computers at home, but I can only access music through iTunes on one designated computer. I think the iPod Touch is fantastic, but the software is lacking. Now let me get back to my iPod. I have a novel to finish, photos to enjoy, games to play, and music to hear.

The WIFI reception on 1st generation touch is better than second gen. I have a second generation touch also, and I use the 1st gen. more for its better WIFI reception.Apple iPod touch 16 GB (1st Generation)

Really Cool - gets wi-fi internet - can take lots of downloads. You do need to update the software from Apple for $9.99 to download games. But for the price of a 1st generation compared to the 2nd generation, I'll take the $9.99 download. Real happy with the graphics and the sound.

I purchased this item as a gift for my wife. The differences between the 1st and 2nd generation versions are not significant enough to warrent the extra $$ on the 2nd generation version.

The latest operating system is an easy download and install from iTunes ($9.99) and it enables easy access to the apps store and other features.

Listening to music, surfing the web, checking e-mail, playing games, etc. All easy and fun to do.
