Rating: - Nice and simple and good for Linux
Got this player for my 8yo daughter. Perfect. We also use Linux, and when the Sansa is plugged into the usb, it is similar to an external drive. Just drag and drop audio files.

I've poked around with the settings a bit, and it seems to be fully featured, compared to other comparably priced mp3 players which don't have FM, folder views or other ease-of-use features.

I have only owned this for 2 days now, so keep that in mind..

Pros:
- Great sound
- Great battery life
- Incredibly compact
- Incredibly lightweight
- Good interface (easy to navigate)

Cons:
- 1 GB is really not enough
- Earphones sound good but are slightly uncomfortable.

Bottom line: IF you are looking for a compact, lightweight, convenient, "easy to navigate" MP3 player, then this is it. You may want to consider more than 1GB. If you purchase this with Sennheiser CX400L headphones with lanyard, you can wear it like a necklace all of the time...use it when it's convenient and keep it under your shirt when it is not. This mp3 player exceeded my expectations for what I thought I would get.

SanDisk Sansa Clip 1 GB MP3 Player (Black) Small,convenient to carry with clipon feature. Great sound, easy to use and load music. Radio is a very desirable option with this item. Priced as a good value for the money.
