My son and daughter love reading about nature, and wildlife etc. so we got this subscription and were so dissapointed. A normal issue was 5% (probably being kind) informational content, 5% useless content (non educational items) and the remaining 90% was advertisements. Would never recommend this to anyone. Save your money.

Rating: - Riviting Info and great pictures
My 8 year old son LOVES to read every page of this magazine, and so do I. I consider myself strong in the sciences, but I learn something new in each magazine, and the layout provides humor along with facts that make it a can't-put-it-down magazine.

Rating: - Advertisements in NG Kids
If you are considering getting this magazine for your kids, don't let all of the hype about advertisements scare you off. I checked the magazine and went through and counted all of the advertisements in it and counted seven advertisements in a 45 page magazine.

My son is about to turn 11 years old and he loves this magazine. It is fun to read and has great photos. I do not really think that the articles are designed for research purposes, but the articles are fact filled and teach kids interesting facts about the world around them. Most importantly, kids LIKE to read this magazine!

The mom who said it was pure advertisements is looking at the wrong magazine. We subscribe and there are no ads, just fact filled articles that my son reads over and over.
