Magazines Rolling Stone (1-year)
Books and Publications Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Please put this mag out of its misery
I would like to throw another handful of dirt on this magazines grave. I remember when Rolling Stone mattered, it wrote about real rock and roll. It interviewed interesting people, not the flavors of the month we now get dosed with. When brit, linse, justin start making covers...readers start packin.. If Rolling Stone editors had any decency youthanasia would have been practiced after Kurt Cobain made the cover wearing a tshirt reading "corporate mags suck".
For real rock and roll magazines try MOJO or Q ..

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Love this magazine...
I am a music fanatic and this magazine doesn't disappoint. I get all the info on my favorite bands and I get info on songs to download and reviews on new cds. They include pieces on politics which I don't particularly care for, if I wanted info on politics I would use another resource. They talk about current events that are interesting to me. If you are a fan of all things music this is definitely the magazine for you.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Absolute garbage. I got it for free and still cancelled!
I can't put into words how much I can't stand this magazine. The last few issues I have received have been mostly far left political propaganda disguised as actual journalisim. The editors have the audacity to belive that anyone who likes music MUST be a Democrat and a far left one at that. It seems that they really believe the political drivel that some of the artists sing about.

Most of the articles are complete garbage, with blogs listed as sources. Now that it is getting close to the election (1 year away!), the magazine reads like a political television advertisement. What they don't realize is by writing from this perspective, they are writing off half of their possible subscriber base. Must be nice not to worry about readership!

I get it for free from being a Rhapsody subscriber. I suspect that they are using this as a vehicle to get their rapidly declining subscription numbers up, which raises their advertising rates. It is such garbage, I am going to cancel it anyway. If I had a wood burning fireplace, I may have used it for kindling. Since I don't, I'll just let them keep it.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - They should of quit in the 90's
They use to be the source for anything in the Pop/Rock culture but they are nothing now. The new magazines out that have replaced them are Mojo, Q, Uncut and maybe Blender. I wish the three mag's I mentioned were out a lot earlier they are what Rolling Stone never was but Rolling Stones was good for starters back in the 70's
