Rating: - Photoshop CS2 Book for Digital Photographers
PhotoShop is a very user unfreindly Program. It is extremely capable IF you can get a grip on the little keyboard short cuts. Like using "[" or "]" to enlarge or reduce, instead or "+" or "-". Stuff like that will drive you nuts. Photoshop CS2 Book for Digital Photographers is very easily written and has a needed humorous tone, you will appreciate the humor as you struggle to understand PS. The book is a must if you want to understand this confusing but powerful program.

I don't have words to describe this book!!!! Excelent, excelente, excelent!!! Every one interested in photography, photo edition, etc...must have it. Easy to understand, very complete.

I like his style and have picked up a few pointers although I recently bought Corel Photoshop IX which has a really great help section so am using it most of the time.

Rating: - great book for the average PS user
For those of us that are looking for a book that explains in laymans terms what all the important features of photoshop are, and the best use of those features for fixing/prepping the majority of photos, this is a superb book.
People who want to delve more deeply into the technicalities of how all these features work would perhaps be best served looking elsewhere, this probably isn't the book for you.
I should also mention, as others have, Scott's generally lame sense of humor which is peperred throughout the entire book. I personally don't find it that distracting(in fact I found it quite refreshing that somebody at least made the effort to make sure they didn't publish another dry and boring user manual), but some might.
For me, Kelby explains, in a simple to understand manner, everything I find relevant to my photographs, and for most of what I do his suggestions work flawlessly.
Perhaps at some point, when I'm more familiar with the workings of photoshop I'll want a book that explains everything in more detail, but for the foreseeable future, this book accomplishes everything I need.

A)it's not the right book for everybody
B)The "humor" may grate on some peoples nerves
