- This Book Literally Changed My Life
The book is actually 4 books in one and begins with Florence's story, her life, love, and death. It then goes into the Game of Life and How to Play It, a detailed primer on how to not short circuit all of the good that God has in store for you. I believe it was initially a home-study course for students of New Thought
Like many other reviewers I am not the most religious person, but this book really opened up my spiritual side and helped me to see myself and the world in a new light.
I buy copies for friends and family, but as one reviewer said sometimes you should just tell them about it and let them find their own way to it.
This is the kind of thing that once you read and understand it, you kick yourself for not having read it many years ago.
I highly recommend this book for young people.

Long before 'The Secret' there was Florence Scovell Shinn, whose writings transcend time and contain the wisdom of all ages. This book - or rather collection of 3 books in one - is so simple and straightforward and yet filled with inspirational and effective messages. I have this book somewhere within arm's length most of the time and return to it very, very often. If you are feeling discouraged, this book raises your spirits in no time. If you are feel confident and certain, this book adds to that sense of well-being. It is not simply a collection of platitudes, it is timeless wisdom, with anecdotes and examples of how effective this way of life can be.

- She started it all... Way before the "Secret"
She was the one to introduce the power of intention, affirmations and enchantedness into our lives. Rest of them followed her footsteps and restated her work WITHOUT giving her any credits. She was way out there before C. Ponder, Hay and etc.

Her writings and affirmations are very meditative; they give you a sense of peace, calmness and encourage you to think positive.

I currently have 6 copies of her book in my collection and I have distributed more than 30 copies to my friends. I would highly recommend this book.
