Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent for the money!
I just bought this as another tool to help get dinner on the table quickly. As a working mom who gets home at 6 pm, I need fast help! This helps. It cleans up well and works great, and I love that it has a timer. Now, I get great rice, and with a good rice cooker cook book, I'm learning how to do other things as well, such as a mac and cheese that is homemade all the way. Love it!


Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - For those who do not know how to cook brown rice....
You have to add 50% more water when cooking brown rice. I read a couple of reviews that said it can only cook white rice. Follow the instructions it gives you for the different types of rice. That particular person must not have read the directions.

Do not place it under cabinets. It won't hurt it right away, but after several times, may cause problems with the wood.

This is an excellent cooker for the money. Add two cups, three cups water and in 30 min, the rice is fluffy and flavorful.

I owned a Krups previously and I liked it, but it broke after 2 years.
