This is a fine compilation of hits from a great band, and truly epitomizes the term "greatest hits". This collection is just that...hits. If you are a fan of Journey, you'll love it. If you've heard one song on this collection, chances are you've heard them all. And if you haven't heard them, one listen and you'll be hooked.

Very nice collection. I bought it for my 27 yr. old and I am 58 and really enjoyed it.

Journey is one of the greatest bands to ever come out of the Bay Area and Neil Shoan has the greatest licks in the world.

While critics will debate forever the impact of Journey on the world of music, for us fans, there IS no debate...the band rocks and we love 'em and their music--for the most part--will be timeless. I've been in radio for the better part of 20 years now, and I cannot remember a time when I did not receive regular requests for Journey, both then and now. Why? I suppose every person must ask themselves why Journey *works* for you, but for me? I just love a song with a great hook, and Journey is definitely in no short supply of those.

I have noticed that even some Fans have been critical of why some songs were included why others were omitted...and for the most part, I agree--but we have to temper that with the fact that Journey more than likely had ZERO choice in which songs were included on this particular collection.
