- Gay Vampires out for a Bite
Okay...so gay vampires aren't really my thing but the stories are definitely erotic so the editors and authors get points for that. Most of the tales are really well-written and would play very well to the Anne Rice crowd. As a book that speaks to me, it doesn't fly; but as a well written book I give it four well-earned stars.

- guy vampires seeking out guy victums....
i didnt know this book was about gay vampires. i thought it was erotic tales of vampires....mostly hetersexual relationships. i dont mind reading this book at all, but i want everyone to know that it is gay vampire stories and i didnt know that when i bought it. the book was ok....it wasnt very exciting. too much detail in most stories and not enough sexual content.

- NOT TERRIBLY MEMORABLE
I totally enjoy the genre of gay vampire tales. They normally blend horror, a sense of passion and romance, and erotica together in a pleasing manner. BLOOD LUST is a collection that does all of that, but not in an overly memorable way. The stories are interesting, and indeed some are rather clever, but overall, they are generic. There is only one tale that I totally enjoyed, and that story was THE DISCO KING. The story is set in Phoenix, at a bar called Winks. What makes this story memorable is that Winks was my local bar until it closed last year. Additionally, I know the bartender who is cited in the story, and indeed, the ex-lover of the man who gave the bar its name. The physical description of the bar was so accurate that even before it was named, I knew this was my old hangout.
