- Exactly what I wanted
I bought this dictionary when I was looking for a monolingual Spanish dictionary that would serve me as a fluent second-language speaker of Spanish. This dictionary is very complete; I have never not been able to find something I wanted to find in this dictionary. It's too advanced for people who are just starting out in Spanish but for native speakers and advanced non-native speakers it's just right. I don't think I'll need to buy another Spanish dictionary.

Since this is a Spanish dictionary I am going to write the review of it in Spanish.
Este no es un diccionario del español actual sino más bien un diccionario de jerga del español de los distintos países hispanoparlantes y de las palabras que éstos toman prestadas del inglés y de otros idiomas. De hecho, de las 100.000 palabras supuestamente definidas (digo supuestamente pues en muchos casos uno en lugar de encontrar una definición se encuentra con una pobre descripción del vocablo) puede que la mitad sean palabras no generales de la lengua española. Al abrir el libro en cualquier página al azar es muy probable que uno se encuentre con puras palabras de la jerga de países hispanos como ser chicoco, chicol, chicota, chictar, chifa, chifurnia, chiga en la página 354, todas palabras supuestamente corrientes en algunos países hispanoparlantes pero no palabras generales de la lengua española. - very useful dictionary
It's a very useful dictionary. I'm a student and I've never get disappointed using this diccionary.It also gives you one or more synonyms for a word most of the time. It has different definitions for a word which is used in different countries of South America or in Spain. I think it's the best Spanish-Spanish dictionary I have ever had.
