- Drum Circle Curriculum
The World Music Drumming book is extremely clear, direct and easy to follow. My students immediately grasped the concepts and were playing effortlessly right away. I really enjoyed the format of the lesson plan outlines with cross cultural references, review of past lessons, concepts to reinforce, assessments and reflections. My lesson plans were written for me for several weeks! I was inspired to ask our Music Boosters to purchase 3 new conga drums. I highly recommend this book for the general music classroom as well as a unit for any ensemble at the Middle School or High School level.

- World Drumming By Will Schmid is the Best!
I am a general music teacher and have been using this as a curriculum with my 6th and 7th graders. They love the drumming and respond well to the entire book. There are so many things to think about as a teacher and this book helped alleviate all the stresses of being a music teacher. I had more time to plan engaging lessons with my students and I did not have to think about how or when I would assess. It was all well laid out in the book. Plus the author was the head of MENC. THis is by far one of the best music education books I have purchased. It has been used in my school for a while and I am happy to be part of the program.
