- Awesome movie!
I've seen this movie several times, but now that I have it on Blu-Ray, it's like watching it for the first time all over again. Shipped for free and arrived ahead of schedule. Amazon is my new favorite store!

- A classic...Something wrong with the Blu-ray disc transfer.
One of Martin Scorsese's best films. There is a flaw on the disc itself. There is a line running down the screen on chapter 27. The Robert DeNiro scene with Ray Liotta and Paul Sorvino. Same problem on two discs. This may be a transfer process issue. Great movie, bad BD copies.

Goodfellas could've been a great Scorsese film but after 30 minutes I couldn't stand all the swearing. The violence I can handle but every other word these mobsters say is the F word. Ok I understand that's how these guys talk but jeez don't they know any other words, apparently not! I prefer Raging Bull or The Aviator instead.

- NEEDS REMASTERING. FILM: Wonderful. Transfer: Not so much...
The transfer of this film appears to be the same MPEG transfer as the one used for the DVD version. It DOES NOT appear to be a new 1080p 4k re-mastering of the film. This is not to say that it doesn't look much better in Blu-Ray than it does on DVD. But it is not, evidently, a brand new 1080p 4k transfer made expressly for Blu-Ray release. This can cause some problems, depending on your display system and settings. You may have to select a different input palette or profile on your display, or adjust your settings.

If your system is setup to show Blu-Ray films using the "Cinema" and "Movie" profile of your display, which assumes a low contrast, subdued display of a wide range source that takes full advantage of the display's capabilities, then this film may look washed out, have milky blacks and generally be displeasing.
