Whether readers find it helpful will depend partially on their sense of humor—Dr. Phil titles one chapter 'Bag 'em, Tag 'em and Take 'em Home', a pretty fair example of the rest of the jokes and the general attitude of the book's advice. Marriage is what it's about, and the dating game has specific rules that, once learned, any 'player' can use to succeed. While not quite as strict as the infamous The Rules, this is a manual that treats marriage as a prize, winnable only by those who regard old-fashioned rules as the only possible set.

An early exercise suggests that women make detailed lists of the qualities they're looking for in a mate; five broad categories cover everything from social skills to physical appearance. Book arrived as promised--new. Very good book by Dr. Phil McGraw. Only complaint is the print is too small for my aging eyes.

- He's right on... AGAIN!!
I didn't know there could be a FUN game of dating! I always thought guys were trying to get a bootie call and girls were showing a lil' too much of their bootie (It's all about the bootie isn't it! ha!). Finally Dr. Phil showed me that there is a way to date that is reasonable! Finally he showed me how to love myself, find my best assets, believe in myself and just show that to the world.

I didn't grow up with brothers so it was so helpful for Dr. Phil to give the inside scoop on what men are REALLY like! Hilarious, sobering and sooo true.

I highly recommend this book to whomever wants to get out there and date. He's right, people aren't single on accident. Get to the root issue on WHY people are single.

Dr. Phil's check lists should be helpful to the female reader who is seeking marriage.

Are you a confident person? Check. Have you created an interesting life for yourself as a single person? Check. Do you feel good about yourself and do you believe you are worthy of love? Check.

If you are a woman seeking marriage this book is for you. Men are ignored in this book. Women who are looking for a significant other (no legal ties), a lover, or a friend for events and travel do not need this book. Finding Your Sweetie After 50
