- Another great book
This one starts a little slow. But once you get used to humans being involved in the otherworld, it's a great read. Hope has really come into her own, she is one of the most interesting charaters. Kelley has really shown her ability to create believeable races from the many things that go bump in the night.

- Delightfully surprised
I have not been able to read the last couple of books in this series, even tho Bitten was one of my all time favorite books. This is the first book of the last installments in this series that I have been able to finish. Contrary to most of the reviews, I enjoyed the multiple POVs and third person narration. I felt intellectually challenged by this book. Maybe it was just good timing, but I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Living with the Dead is a story of Hope and Karl, appealing characters from early Armstrong novels. But really it's not. It's really the story of Robyn, a non-supernatural human friend of Hope's who has lost a beloved husband in a terrible incident and who is floundering.

Armstrong has an engaging writing style and I really enjoy most of her books but this one was scattered between too many voices and too many POV. Unfortunately the predominant voice in the book is that of Robyn. And I found Robyn so darn annoying I just wished someone *would* kill her. She epitomizes the "Too Stupid To Live" heroine. She makes dumb choices again and again. At first, she realizes she's being dumb and it's brought up "gee, that was a dumb thing to do." But she never fixes it. I could not wait to purchase and read this book! I was so excited. What an utter let down. I have been reading Kelly Armstrong's books since Bitten and have loved almost all of them; however, this installment is one I could have done without. There are way too many POVs in the story and the jumping around gives one a headache. I like Karl and Hope..... but not as much as some other couples and I think Armstrong should go back to Paige and Lucas or Elena and Clay (I'm dying to hear more about them). I also did not like having a main character, Robyn, who wasn't a supernatural because for me it didn't work. Overall I gave it a 2 because there were still some interesting moments
