Editorial Review:

Book Description:
Could a werewolf be loose in Chicago? Common sense says no. The grisly evidence says yes. So does Harry Dresden. And with his weird connections, he should know....

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great Book
I am really enjoying this series of books by Jim Butcher. He writes in such a way that you feel that you can relate to Harry. Harry is an ordinary guy, he just happens to be a wizard as well. Well written book, good humor, a little racy just for fun, and the fantasy side is well represented. Whether you like detective novels or fantasy, The Dresden Files series of books will keep you entertained. Give them a go!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Harry Dresden and the Werewolves
This is the second book in the series featuring Butcher's protagonist, Harry Dresden; wizard, private investigator and all round good guy.

In this story Harry and Murph become involved in a convoluted plot that revolves around several grizzly murders and werewolves. Bob the Skull, a virtual encyclopedia of all things regarding werewolves and lycanthropic lore (not to mention all things testosterone as well), helps Harry in his plan to investigate these unusual circumstances. The pendulum has been set in motion, and chaos and mayhem are about to reign supreme.

Conclusion:
If you like Jim Butcher writing, you'll like this. Fun, faced paced and has some interesting confrontations, sprinkles of humor and some erotic moments; in other words, a typical Harry Dresden novel. 5 Stars.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Very Satisfied, Thank you
I have not had a chance to read my new books,
but they arrived in excellent condition as always.
Thank you, K

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Harry gets really beat up in a short amount of time.
Unlike Butcher's first or subsequent novels, Harry spends much of his time exhausted and/or trying to recover from multiple beatings. This, plus Harry's walking away from the massive werewolf attack on the police station hurt from the plausibility of the story. (Assuming you've gotten past the whole wizards, FBI werewolves and werewolf criminals part.)

Butcher's minimal use of magic as a piece of the story rather than the whole story permits for good plot development even if the only character who grows in the story is Harry. (Sorry, characters who learn and grow only to have their torn out and gnawed don't count.)

Overall, a decent read which you can get through quickly and without risking any thought provocation. If you're new to the Dresden Files, I recommend starting with one of Butcher's better novels.
