Louise Rennison is brilliant; this book has all of the charm and hilarity of her previous works!

The eighth installment of the Georgia Nicholson stories, Love Is A Many Trousered Thing is, as one might expect from the series, quite funny, in that Brit-slangy kinda way. And I DO enjoy Georgia's views of her friends and their fringe, her
exasperation with her hopelessly uncool parents, and her forays into the Cake Shop of Looooove.

Still, not much happens in this one, as far as moving the story forward. Lots of internal debate and dialogue, and Dave the Laugh suddenly popping up in Georgia's thoughts unexpectedly, but nothing much happens.

Still enjoyable, though.

I found these books a few years ago when I was teaching 8th grade. One of my students was reading Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging and I nearly took it away, afraid it was inappropriate. I am now totally sucked in and think I probably enjoy these books more than my students. Just finished Love is a Many Trousered Thing and I have to say that I can't wait to read more. I hope Louise keeps writing forever, because not only are they hilarious, they are just fab, gut fun.
