Each chapter of the text portion of this package begins with a brief introduction that describes the topics covered within the chapter. There are several worked examples that relate and apply the concepts and formulas used in the text. Then the software comes into play and provides many problems to test the student's understanding of the material and examples. Topics presented are divided into as many smaller sections as possible to help the student gain the best understanding of the material. the software features a pop-down scientific calculator for the students to use. This calculator provides the basic functions necessary for solvintg the problems provided in the total software program. Problems exist within the software program that emphasize the analytical ability of the student in the processes of troubleshooting a circuit. The software allows the student to create their own circuits and put in their own values in figuring out the concepts being studied at the time. It the student solves a problem incorrectly, the computer prompts him or her to try again. After a predetermined number of incorrect tries, the computer automatically displays the correct answer(s) for the problem at hand.
